Trade Show Exhibit
Calphalon approached us with a challenge for the Housewares Show in 2012 – create a 20’ x 40’ peninsula exhibit to include a multitude of product sku’s, a private meeting area, and feature areas for smaller kitchenware products such as knives. Their brand identity as a professional grade supplier to the every day cook demanded the use of high quality materials and elegant detail.
The design developed into multi-level display using solid-surface materials to mimic stone, dark wood veneer laminates for richness and under-the-counter LED lighting to retain bright and even lighting throughout their product lines. Graphics were applied simply and elegantly on vertical towers. The private meeting area was outfitted with elegant frosted acrylic pocket doors, and its exterior walls became display areas for smaller featured products. Above all was a framed lighted fabric scrim ceiling that carried the Calphalon logo on its perimeter and cleanly defined the volume of space.
The simple elegance of the design and its ability to positively reflect the client’s brand are what made this project so successful.
