Job Description

An Account Manager (AM) is directly responsible for the planning and execution of customers’ projects, shows and schedules with timely solutions that fit our clients’ budgets while achieving profitable margins for The Rogers Company (TRC).  This is achieved by understanding client requests, being proactive to help clients hit critical target dates and overcoming obstacles both internally and externally.  An AM is expected to work directly & independently with clients while keeping the Account Executive (AE) informed and seeking guidance as needed. They are also expected to work with an AE to help obtain new business and help manage and document all activities that make up each client project.

An Account Manager is part of the management team that provides direction to the company. The direction must be sound and thought through, as it will have an impact on client projects and margins. It requires excellent written skills and an understanding of the specific needs within each department to ensure proper documented direction is provided and understood.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collectively assembling and maintaining client schedules / critical dates
  2. Participating, leading and documenting client planning meetings
  3. Working with internal departments / team members by understanding workload and helping set client expectations, while alerting AE and team to any potential issues that may prevent TRC from meeting those expectations
  4. Completing and submitting work orders in a timely manner to provide TRC visibility / scope of the project
  5. Providing direction to Show Service Coordinators for all on-site requirements
  6. Work with AE to make sure all Quotes & Estimates are accurate and sent to customers per production schedules
  7. Keep track of sign-off dates needed to maintain production schedules
  8. Document all additions and keep client informed of changes that will impact their budget
  9. Be available to address possible on-site issues and help set in motion a direction to help protect client’s budget

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  1. Associates degree or above preferred but not necessary
  2. Strong analytical capabilities to drive strong margins and leverage data
  3. Exceptional organizational skills
  4. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced workplace
  5. Time management and ability to multi-task various projects and clients
  6. Highly effective organizational skills
  7. Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  8. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  9. Conflict Resolution
  10. Ability to travel to shows and help support show execution and client relationships
